The AgriShine Schools Initiative (ASI)is a flagship educational program of the Lichipu Foundation for Food, Energy, and Water Sustainability (LIFEWS Foundation), founded by Gabriel Sunday Ayayia through LIFEWS Global Publications Ltd. We are redefining education by integrating climate-smart agriculture, agrivoltaics, and everyday sustainability into Nigeria’s schools — giving students the knowledge, skills, and values to thrive in a changing climate.
To transform every school into a living classroom where students learn to grow food, harness clean energy, and protect the planet — fostering a generation of sustainability minded citizens.

To integrate climate-smart farming, agrivoltaics, and environmental ethics into Nigeria’s education system through practical learning, digital tools, teacher empowerment, and student-led clubs that inspire innovation, teamwork, and leadership.

Equip primary and secondary schools with climate-smart textbooks, storybooks, and sustainability toolkits.
Establish demonstration gardens, solar-powered irrigation systems, and agrivoltaic models that turn theory into practice.
Build teacher capacity through workshops and online courses on environmental education.
Create Eco Clubs and Agrivoltaic Clubs where learners lead sustainability projects and national competitions.
Strengthen partnerships between schools, local communities, and international institutions for global impact.

AgriShine adopts a three-tier learning framework:
Through customized sustainability books, digital lessons, and practical guides.
Through inter-school challenges, exhibitions, and national recognition programs.
Via gardens, green labs, and agrivoltaic demonstration hubs within schools.
This model ensures that learning is both experiential and transformative.
AgriShine began with a single belief — that sustainability must be lived, not just taught. What started as the development of Climate-Smart Agriculture Textbooks for Primary, Junior Secondary, and Senior Secondary Schools soon grew into a movement. These books provided a foundation for students to understand sustainable farming, soil health, and energy systems. From there, the vision expanded into School Demonstration Hubs — green learning spaces where students grow food, compost, recycle, and experiment with agrivoltaic systems that merge solar energy with agriculture. To deepen learning, AgriShine created the Sun & Soil Series, an educational collection that explores how sunlight, soil, and sustainability work together to feed the world. The series inspires students to see the planet as a living system — where every small action matters. Launched officially in Abuja on July 24, 2025, and endorsed by the FCT Secondary Education Board (SEB) and Department of Science, Technology & Innovation (DSTI), AgriShine continues to grow as a national model for climate-smart education. AgriShine connects schools directly to LIFEWS’ four-pillar vision: AgriShine (Education), AgriNext (Youth Innovation), AgriAble (Women & Inclusion), and AgriRoots (Community Resilience). Together, these initiatives nurture a holistic ecosystem of sustainable learning — preparing today’s students to become tomorrow’s green innovators and ethical leaders.
At the core of AgriShine is the Lichipu philosophy, meaning “Let’s do it together.” We believe that lasting change happens when students, teachers, and communities learn and act collectively. In every AgriShine school, collaboration is the root of growth — from shared gardens to joint projects and inter-school exchanges Through this approach, classrooms become living laboratories, where every child learns to grow food, conserve water, harness clean energy, and build a more sustainable future.

AgriShine is led by a diverse team of educators, innovators, and professionals united by a shared vision for a climate-smart generation.
